Mimi Szeto is a researcher, editor, writer and information professional from Toronto. She got her start as a fact checker for Toronto Life magazine and later became the online listings editor at where.ca and torontolife.com where she helped relaunch Toronto Life’s online eating and drinking guide. In addition to a background in print and web publishing, Mimi has worked in various libraries including the Toronto Public Library. Currently, she is a librarian at the Ontario Media Development Corporation. There, she was heavily involved with the redesign of the Ontario Film Commission’s website and Digital Location Library. A bookworm at heart, Mimi is interested in food, travel, fashion, music, entertainment, education, business and technology. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Ryerson University in Magazine Journalism and a Master of Information Studies degree from University of Toronto in Library and Information Science. Her writing has appeared in magazines, newspapers, websites and blogs including torontolife.com, where.ca, BlogTO, Techvibes, Scarborough Mirror and Shameless magazine.
